COMING SOON

Our new website is coming soon. In the meantime, we have provided a few links to Place Names and Educational Materials. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding any of our other ongoing Projects.

PLACE NAMES

Traditionally, knowledge about the Inuit home environment has been captured in a rich oral history. In an effort to further enable and share this knowledge across generations we aim to reinforce via topographic, thematic maps in IHT’s Nunavut Map Series, Google Earth (roman orthography only) and the Atanaattiaq Map Viewer (syllabics and roman orthography).

Documenting where we live and travel for the generations to come.

Download IHT’s Nunavut Map Series

IHT’s vision is to produce a Nunavut Traditional Names Map Series. Paper maps are useful to hunters and travelers on the land.
